Kenny, his wife MaryJo, and their son Victor (age 23) have been parishioners at St. John the Apostle since June of 2018. They are all converts from Protestantism and entered full communion at the SJA Easter Vigil in 2019. Kenny served for 6 years in the U.S. Navy (Hospital Corpsman), and then entered into a 20-year vocation as a non-Catholic pastor from 1994-2013. Kenny left pastoral work in 2013 when his family moved from California to Virginia Beach to work in corporate philanthropy and non-profit fundraising. Kenny has a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.A. in New Testament Biblical Theology. He currently serves as the Director of Development for The Coming Home Network, a Catholic apostolate dedicated to helping Protestant ministers come home to the Catholic Church. He serves as a lector, an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, assists with teaching in OCIA, and helps converts from Protestantism find their place in the Catholic Church through the Via Christi ministry. He is also the host of "Catholic Bible Highlights" on YouTube and is the author of three books on Catholic theology and early Church history.
